You can't spell Escolas without ESCO

Esco is pleased to announce the addition of an industry titan. John Escolas has joined our team as Chief Operating Officer. John has spent the last 14 years in engineering and optics, continuously learning how to effectively lead in the role of managing change. "Our company growth has been steadily increasing and now that we are in our new facility, my goal is to surround my team with change makers that can bring us to the next level," says Lee Steneken, Esco's President. 

John's previous experience proves that he not only brings a wealth of optical knowledge but also proven success in establishing collaborations with customers, sales team and the manufacturing floor. 

"I enjoy being on the shop floor and helping the operators get their job done more effectively. I look forward to assisting them in improving their quality, repeatability and dependability of the manufacturing process. Esco has gone through some major changes over the past 4 years and has tremendous potential. I look forward to helping all of Esco’s employees, vendors and customers to work together to exceed everyone’s expectations."

Team building and improving processes are a strength for John. Additionally, on the engineering side, he's already introduced methods that will greatly impact our lead times and internal job management. John's initial focus will be to enhance Esco's process development, improve communication between departments and implement higher yields. Every day our goal is to provide precision optics for our customers who put their trust in us to achieve perfect results on the most challenging components. We promise to continue developing our team and expand our technology to exceed the customer's demand and specifications. 

John is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. His prior role was with Sydor Optics, Rochester, NY as the Director of Operations and Engineering. His career also includes previous roles with Incom and United Lens Company, both of Massachusetts. 

Outside of the office, John enjoys spending his time with his wife and two children. When he's not with his family, his hobbies include all things motor driven, from cars to motorcycles and even tractors. When time allows, you may also find him out on the links. We welcome John to the Esco Family!
