Neutral Density Filters

Neutral density (ND) filters are used to attenuate incident radiation without altering its spectral distribution. Esco manufactures two types of optic filters: Neutral Density Color Glass Filters and Metallic Coated Filters.

Neutral Density Color Glass Filters are made from Schott NG Glass Filters. These filters:

• Can be AR coated to prevent back reflections
• Can handle higher input energy, especially if actively cooled
• Have Very accurate ND values, made possible by controlling the thickness of the color glass
