Robotic Beveling Machine

Introducing Esco's Robotic Beveler 

Esco Optics has recently enhanced its manufacturing capabilities with the addition of OptiPro Systems' Revel™ robotic bevel machine. Beveled edges play a crucial role in optics production as they prevent chipping on sharp 90º edges which can otherwise cause scratches during the lapping and polishing processes.

Furthermore, beveled edges improve safety by reducing the risk of cutting fingertips for both fabricators and customers handling machined glass. Once programmed, the robotic arm takes control of the production run creating identical bevels. The Revel currently handles optics up to 100 mm diameters and up to 70 mm squares with extreme precision bevels within 0.001 thousandths.
