Precision Optics Meets Precision Putts: A Hilarious Day on the Course

The 2025 Western New York Optics Golf Tournament at Victor Hills Golf Course brought together the region’s optics manufacturing community for a day of sunshine, swings, and support—all benefiting the University of Rochester-Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Esco has a reputation for bringing levity to the links, but this year we dialed it in with laser

focus—and a little comedic distortion. At the Esco-sponsored watering holes on both the North and South courses, golfers were greeted not just with refreshments but with professional comedians posted up on the tee boxes, ready to roast.

Armed with microphones and razor-sharp observational skills, these comics delivered live heckling with surgical precision. From playful jabs at fashion faux pas to full-on takedowns of tragic tee shots, no one was spared—and no one stopped laughing.

The result? A tournament that was as hilarious as it was memorable. Golfers may have been burned on the tee, but they found relief on the green, where the Esco tent offered cooling towels, sunblock, first aid kits—and, if necessary, a little Fireball for emotional calibration.

Beneath the banter and belly laughs, the day was a reflection of what sets Esco apart. We believe that precision and performance are best achieved in an atmosphere that embraces creativity, connection, and a good sense of humor. Whether we’re polishing optics or planning events, we always bring clarity, energy, and a touch of irreverence.

We’re immensely grateful to everyone who joined us on the course, and to the amazing volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly—especially Danielle Bechtold from OptiPro, who continues to make this tournament a seamless success, year after year.
