Esco Optics rebounds quickly from August 10th Fire

Oak Ridge, NJ September 4, 2014 – The next stage of Esco Optics recovery is completed and we have relocated our manufacturing and administrative offices to our 1 Tidland Rd Oak Ridge NJ facility. All critical areas are now up and running and we are accepting and processing orders for all of our products. Our catalog optics were unaffected and we can readily ship as needed. Our IT infrastructure including our MRP system has been upgraded and installed as well. All of our telephone numbers and extensions are on line. Esco Optics is also very close to finalizing the sale of a new building to house our new state of the art equipment we have procured.

Manufacturing Update:

We are running our manufacturing facility around the clock to accommodate current and new orders. Esco Optics blanking facility has the capability and capacity to generate and shape all of our blanks to near net shape. This greatly enhances our ability by reducing the lead time to polishing. Our CNC machine tools and our ID saws are also running continuously.

We have also regained our single and double sided polishing capability to include our CP and pitch polishing. Esco has received and installed a new Zygo Verifier Interferometer to aid in the metrology of our products. We are on schedule to have our CNC spherical and aspherical capability back in full production within the next few days. We also have one operating coating chamber on line as well.

It is our first and foremost priority to maintain our production and to minimize disruption of deliveries to our customers. In last few weeks the optics industry around the country has rallied to assist Esco Optics in many ways. This is a true indication of the spirit and comradery that our industry shares. This coupled with the dedication and hard work of our employees affords us the confidence and assurance that will lead Esco Optics into the future.
